Cross-border formalities:

For passengers arriving by sea, the police are on board to ensure smooth disembarkation. For security reasons at border crossings, all passengers must present themselves personally to the officials in charge of cross-border control, and no travel document can be processed without the effective presence of its holder. Passengers must:

  • Check the validity of their passport and other documents before setting out on their journey.
  • Go to the police officer on board to stamp the passport.

Practical advice:

  • The electronic national identity card (CNIE) is compulsory for those aged 18 and over, and optional for those aged between 12 and 18, in order to prove Moroccan nationality.
  • Present yourself to the police officer on board to stamp the passport, to avoid waiting on arrival in the Kingdom.
  • If traveling with a third party, minors must have parental authorization, in addition to valid personal travel documents.
  • List of countries whose nationals are exempt from the Moroccan entry visa requirement
