USEFUL INFORMATION FOR THE TRANSIT OF THE MOROCCANS RESIDING ABROAD :

TRANSIT PROCEDURES:

In order to facilitate the process of entering Morocco via the port gate, the General Directorate of National Safety is putting the border police personnel at the disposal of passengers in order to carry out all transit procedures onboard vessels. Therefore, for security reasons, each passenger must submit his/her passports by himself/herself to the border police officer and it is absolutely forbidden to seal any passport in the absence of its holder.

ALL MOROCCANS RESIDING ABROAD MUST:

  • Ensure that their passport and other documents are valid before traveling
  • Submit his/her passport to the police officer accompanying the ship in order to be sealed to avoid any awaiting or delay upon arrival to the Kingdom
  • Hold a valid travel document or any documents proving his/her Moroccan identity
  • Recover luggage and initiate customs procedures

PRACTICAL GUIDANCE:

  • The national ID card to prove the Moroccan nationality for Moroccan citizens who have completed 18 years of age is compulsory, but optional for the age between 12 and 18 years.
  •  Minors, if unaccompanied by a parent, must obtain an authorization from their guardian allowing them to leave the national territory, in addition to valid travel documents.
  • Moroccan spouses of Moroccans who are subject to an entry visa to Morocco must apply for a visa from the Moroccan Diplomatic Representations with the possibility of being authorized under the special measures adopted by the General Directorate of National Safety on the occasion of the transit process Marhaba.

PROHIBITED GOODS :

In order to facilitate the crossing of Moroccans residing abroad through the border posts, here is a list of items prohibited in accordance with the law:

  • Weapons, ammunition, or similar materials;
  • Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances
  • Manuscripts, publications, CDs, audio and video recordings, and things harmful to good morals or public order
  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Explosives
